Robert Drysdale was forced to stand for about an minute against D.J. Linderman and show a little striking. Drysdale threw a few kicks and connected with a left hook before scoring a takedown right into mount. From there it was all over but the crying as Linderman was clearly over-matched by the ADCC Champion. Drysdale looked to set up an armbar and arm triangle before taking the back and sinking a choke for the win.
The main event featured a Flyweight title fight with defending champion Will Campuzano taking on Brazilian Alan Nascimento. The first round featured some very fun grappling exchanges as well as some wild striking exchanges. Action slowed a bit in the second round as Campuzano asserted some strong top position, but Nascimento was able to show flashes of a strong submission attack. Nascimento put a spirited submission attack in the third, but the top position attack of Campuzano began to take its toll. In the fourth round it looked like the fight might be over as Campuzano pounded from turtle, but the referee stepped in to take a point for strikes to the back of the head. In the end Campuzano's wrestling style ride wore Nascimento down and the Champion was able to claim the decision and retain his crown.
In the co-main event Georgi Karakhanyan earned a tough fought decision over grizzled MMA veteran Din Thomas. The performance from Karakhanyan was a little disappointing, but in the post fight interview he claimed that he was ill earlier in the day. It was rumored that the UFC was set to offer Karakhanyan a deal with a win here and time will tell if the Californian did enough to earn a trip to the Octagon.
