With only days left before the event, a training injury has forced Proctor out of UFC 159. Iaquinta is left without an opponent unless the UFC can find someone to jump in on very short notice.

Less than 3 weeks out from the event, UFC 159 has suffered a loss to one of it's preliminary bouts. Lightweights Joe Proctor and Al Iaquinta were expected to face off on the FX portion of the event. Unfortunately, MMA Junkie reports that Proctor has suffered an injury in training and will be unable to compete. He does not have an expected return date yet. The injury leaves Iaquinta without an opponent, however the UFC is currently seeking a 155 lber to step in.

UFC 159 is set for April 27 and will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The event is headlined by a Light Heavyweight championship fight between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen, who coached opposite each other in season 17 of The Ultimate Fighter.
