There's been a change in the UFC 160 fight lineup, and it pertains to the welterweight division. UFC officials confirmed last night that welterweight prospect Gunnar Nelson is injured and unable to fight Mike Pyle on the evening's preliminary card. Replacing Nelson on the May 25th card is Rick Story:
Story (15-6) dominated Quinn Mulhern at UFC 158, winning by first round TKO and recording his first stoppage since he stopped Dustin Hazelett at UFC 117. The former top 10 welterweight is on the road to recovery following a recent 1-3 skid which included a submission loss to Demian Maia.
Pyle (24-8-1) has won his last three fights by KO/TKO, having previously won that way only twice in his career. The 37-year-old veteran stopped James Head, Josh Neer, and Ricardo Funch in 2012, and his only loss since 2010 is to Rory MacDonald.
