"The Truth" is back and he's putting the Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight division on notice.
The last time we saw Brandon Vera he was taking a beating from former Light Heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua at UFC On Fox 4. Granted, Vera managed to last longer in his fight with Shogun than most pundits and fans thought. However, that essentially meant little more than him taking a longer, more sustained beating. But now, "The Truth" says he's back and better than ever:
I got my mojo back, I'm putting all the 205s and heavyweights on notice. I'm back son, like I crave it now. For a long time I didn't need to train or didn't need to win or need to shine. I don't know what happened, but I got it back. Thank you, Shogun. I'm looking forward to doing that with you again. Everybody thought I was washed up, put back on the shelf and call it a day, but I'm not. I think I'm just now coming full circle into my career. I'm finding out more and more about myself as a fighter and as a person and as someone who loves this sport. Fuck you guys, very much. I'm coming, bitches!
As of yet, Vera doesn't have a fight set for his return to the Octagon. At this point he'll be looking at close to a year long layoff between fights.
