Tom Szczerbowski-US PRESSWIRE
The UFC on FX 8 main event bout is a close one in the eyes of bookmakers.
It looks like the UFC on FX 8 headliner between Vitor Belfort and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is pretty even, at least according to linemakers. Belfort opened as a slight favorite originally, but more lines have evened things out and the bout currently sits with Rockhold as the tiniest of favorites. Here's how it looks right now (via BestFightOdds):
Belfort (23-9) enters the bout coming off a big knockout win over Michael Bisping at UFC on FX 7, and has won three out of his last four. Rockhold (10-1) hasn't competed since last July, where he took a unanimous decision over Tim Kennedy. He was supposed to defend his title against Lorenz Larkin on one of the last Strikeforce cards but was hampered by injuries.
As for betting on this fight, I'm not touching the line until closer to fight time. I have a feeling that Belfort is going to pull away into the -150 range, and I might just pick up a bet on Rockhold if it happens.
