Japanese middleweight Riki Fukuda announced his UFC release on Twitter, two weeks after his decision loss to Brad Tavares at UFC on Fuel 8 in Japan.
Former DEEP middleweight champion Riki Fukuda tweeted yesterday that he is no longer with the UFC. The Japanese fighter lost a decision to Brad Tavares in his home country at UFC on Fuel 8.

Fukuda (19-7) went 2-3 in the UFC over a 2+ year time span. His debut against Nick Ring was a loss, but no reasonable person (other than the 3 judges) could've possibly scored that fight for Ring. He recorded his first official UFC win last February in Japan over Steve Cantwell, but fell short against Constantinos Philippou at UFC 148. Fukuda sent Tom DeBlass out of the UFC last November, but now he's gone after Tavares defeated him earlier this month. All five of his fights ended in unanimous decisions.
