How the new Pope may ruin UFC plans for Aldo VS. Pettis

Last Year the UN made Zuffa's plan to going to Rio impossible, now the Pope may do the same for UFC 163...

Most people on Bloodyelbow don’t care about who is Pope, but you know who might? Dana White. The biggest event, outside of Rome, that the Catholic has is World Youth Day. WYD is an event where "youth" (People between the ages of 16-35 years of age) come together for 5 days and it ends with a Mass with the Pope. This year’s WYD will take place at Rio from July 23-28 (only 6 days before UFC 163). Officials felt that someone from 1 to 1.5 million people would be there for the event. But after Pope Francis’ election people this event’s attendance may double. Pope Francis being the 1st South American and being from a relatively close city, Buenos Aires, who knows how many people may come out to see the Pope. Heck 5 million people showed up for the WYD ’95 in Manila.

All that said, how can a city, it press and it’s mild class get hyped up for another event the next weekend? I believe this may make it very hard to get any "buzz" for Jose Aldo’s return to the cage.
