On the 21st of March, the greatest sporting spectacle in North America takes place on the plains of Iowa. This spectacle, the NCAA division one wrestling tournament, will pit our nation's 330 toughest wrestlers against each other in a grueling meat grinder of a tournament. Saturday evening, 10 of these wrestlers will stand atop the awards podium as national champions.

This year, every round of the wrestling championships will air on the ESPN family of networks. Coverage information can be found here. Additionally, Bloody Elbow will provide daily updates and additional analysis.

This Wednesday, the NCAA finished seeding the tournament and published brackets (here). A short time later, Mike Riordan, Bloody Elbow's staff wrestling analyst, appeared on Backpoints with T.R. Foley to provide his point of view. The result of this appearance is a long and thorough discussion and preview of all ten weights of this years NCAA wrestling tournament, as well as predictions for the team championship.
