I'm not writing this post to point out every logical fallacy demonstrated during the discussion regarding Fallon Fox's status as an MMA fighter. It would simply take far more time and effort than I have to devote to a fan post. Instead, I would like to focus on one particular fallacy, which I found to be the most egregious.
Over the course of the last week, we have heard the opinions of three doctors. Two of whom, specialize in areas concerning the transitioning of transgender individuals. Some users have tried to assert that Bowers and Leis could be providing false information, because of a bias related to their line of work, and additionally, due to the fact that Bowers is herself, transgender. Is it possible that Bower and Leis have biased opinions? Of course. However, such a comment amounts to nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to dismiss their opinions by discrediting their characters, and thus, avoid addressing the points that they have made.
Simply put, this is not a valid argument, and only serves to display that you are the one who is guilty of bias.
