My sources are telling me that Bloody Elbow editor Brent Brookhouse's birthday is today. These sources aren't publicly revealing whether or not Stainlesssteel will come out of the cake and yell "FUCK YOU, BOOKHOUSE", or if King Mo will label him a "hater" at the "Happy Birthday" song gathering, but they can confirm exclusively to me that he is now 30 years old.

He's one of the premier writers on Bloody Elbow and MMA websites in general, and has done a fantastic job with his recent investigative stories, particularly the rape cases surrounding Lloyd Irvin's students, as well as Irvin's own alleged rape case two decades ago. In addition to BE work, he also co-manages Bad Left Hook, where he can talk about boxing without assholes bitching about him covering the sport. Perhaps his biggest accomplishment is not being Brenda "Chris" Hall, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Yes, he supports the Chicago Blackhawks, and yes, he somehow is still a Buffalo Bills fan despite numerous Super Bowl losses and 13 years of this garbage, but I hold neither of those things against him. In fact, I hope the Blackhawks have numerous Western Conference Finals appearances, only to come up short to Vancouver over and over and over again. ;)
