A middleweight fight between Francis Carmont and Strikeforce's Lorenz Larkin is set to take place in San Jose at UFC on FOX 7 this April.
Another Strikeforce fighter will make his UFC debut on the upcoming FOX card on April 20th. Middleweight striker Lorenz Larkin will fight France's Francis Carmont in San Jose. News broke last night through Dan Alegria of The Press-Enterprise newspaper in Riverside, CA.
Riverside native Lorenz Larkin @da_monsoon, will make his @ufc debut against Francis Carmont on the @ufconfox card from San Jose on April 20

Carmont is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC, with wins over Chris Camozzi, Magnus Cedenblad, Karlos Vemola, and Tom Lawlor. The Lawlor fight was certainly not an entertaining one, and the decision itself was debatable. Nevertheless the Frenchman has been on a good winning streak and will look to make it 5 this April 20th. Carmont recently asked to fight one of Yushin Okami or Mark Munoz at UFC 158, but there was no way the UFC was going to entertain that request.
Larkin is technically undefeated (13-0, 1 NC), but his "no-contest" was actually a KO loss against King Mo in Strikeforce. The result was overturned after King Mo failed his drug test. Following the King Mo fight, Larkin dropped to middleweight and defeated UFC and Strikeforce veteran Robbie Lawler by unanimous decision.
UFC on FOX 7 has several Strikeforce fighters competing on the card, including in the main event between Gilbert Melendez and Ben Henderson for Henderson's lightweight belt.
