On the heels of yesterday's post about the UFC 160 main event having a lopsided betting line, now comes the much more anticipated co-main event odds. And Junior dos Santos has opened up a sizable favorite for his UFC 160 bout with Alistair Overeem. Here's how it looks (via BestFightOdds):
That's certainly a lot wider than I thought it was going to be. I can see why though - if Antonio Silva can knock out Overeem, JDS certainly can too. And no one's been able to stop JDS before the final horn, even Cain Velasquez who had him hurt early at UFC 155. From a betting perspective, I don't think that there's much to look at here. If anything, the line is probably going to get even wider with Dos Santos' popularity so if you want to bet on Overeem, wait until closer to fight time. I don't think there's a lot of value in JDS in the -250 range though.
