The UFC heavyweight champion rightfully opened as a large favorite in his rematch with Bigfoot.
This should come as a shock to approximately no one, but UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is the early betting favorite for his UFC 160 title defense against Antonio Silva. With the two men meeting just nine months ago and Cain winning by first-round TKO, it makes the betting line pretty simple to set. Here, take a look:
Honestly, I'm surprised it's not a little wider than it ended up. I guess Bigfoot's win over Alistair Overeem helped to keep the line from being completely lopsided, but still. It's not a line I would touch on either side right now. We've seen that Silva can't handle Cain's wrestling and even if you take the cut from the first fight out of the equation, Velasquez was likely going to take it anyway.
I'm pretty sure that the other heavyweight fight between Junior dos Santos and Overeem will generate a lot more betting action (and talk) but we'll have to wait to see exactly what that line looks like.
