Dana White willing to book boxing bout between Anderson Silva and Roy Jones, Jr if Silva beats Weidman

UFC president Dana White says "it drives him crazy" but he wants to "make these guys happy" by booking a boxing match between Anderson Silva and Roy Jones, Jr.. Provided Silva regains his UFC Middleweight title at UFC 168.

One of the biggest rematches in UFC history is set to occur at UFC 168 in Las Vegas on December 28 when Middleweight champ Chris Weidman defends his title against ex-champ Anderson SilvaNaturally most of the talk is about an imaginary boxing match between Silva and should-be-retired-but-isn't boxing legend Roy Jones, Jr. Here's what Dana White told MMA Junkie:

"These two drive me crazy. They drive me crazy," White said. "First of all, Roy Jones Jr. is a longtime friend of mine. When I was a 19-year-old kid in the boxing business, Roy Jones was very good to me. So I'm in this position where I feel like Roy wants to fight him, he wants to fight Roy - I feel like I'm in this position to try to make both of these guys happy. But it drives me crazy.

"I would love Roy Jones Jr. to focus on his next opponent and Anderson to focus on his. We'll talk about all this stuff. I know Roy's coming to the fight - we'll see what happens."

I'm not sure why it's necessary that Silva beat Weidman for a pointless boxing match to take place, but there you have it.
