Hello Bloodyelbow !
I've been visiting BE everyday day since June, and so I gradually got deeper in "hardcorefanship". BE is really an amazing website to go, whether it is for the news diversity, the quality of the articles and all the lulz in the comments sections. So, big thanks to everyone who is contributing !
But, as I am one hell of a peniless student, I never bought an UFC PPV, (even the ones which had the tastier headlines !). Indeed, i've been managing to watch every UFC card I could for free, since UFC 140, approximately. Not to mention I've missed some of the best ones .You could say I never truly supported the sport, and that would be true. Never gave a coin to anything that was mma-related (except for training gear), and I'm starting to regret it.
Next saturday, me and two of my fighting buddies have planned on organizing a '"fight night"; that is to say a regular saturday night where we'd get drunk on the couch and watch some good ol' fist-trading. Since we're all practicing different disciplines (savate/boxing, karate, and muay thaï/MMA for me), I thought of watching UFC fights, and thus the sweetest ones. None of my friends follow MMA regularily, and consequently missed all the MMA gems that took place before. I figured out that I could buy my first UFC event ever, and by the way erase my guilt of being kind of a stowaway on BE.
Of course, I supposed that we would watch the Dodson-Benavidez card, but the entertainment is not guaranteed and I (we?) would like to get entertained by some anthology fights. Plus, we're down for a huge night and one card is far from being enough.
So, I'm asking your MMA knowledge this : which UFC PPV was the most entertaining, which gave you the best memories, and which is, basically, the most deserving of being bought ? I'll wait for your feedback in the comments. Thank you very much !
