It's been an interesting year for Guillermo Rigondeaux. The undefeated Cuban Olympian faced a real step up in competition this year, taking on the 2012 Fighter of the Year Nonito Donaire. After beating Donaire in a technically brilliant performance that launched him up the pound for pound lists, Rigondeaux should have been looking at a possible Fighter of the Year kind of performance himself. Instead, he was much criticized for a perceived boring style, with his promoters openly talking about their desire not to put him on HBO next time out. Clearly, cooler heads prevailed, as Rigondeaux ends the year back on HBO. Say what you will of his style - and it is indeed fair to call it a bit boring at times - but a fighter of this quality should be seen. He takes on Joseph Agbeko, who comes in off of one 2013 rebound win after a pair of 2011 losses to Abner Mares.
