Did Nate Diaz learn from the Spiders mistake?

Saturday nights main event between Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard was a thing of MMA beauty. I've always wanted to be a fan of Nate, but his constant taunting instead of fighting made me want to throw up. I knew there was true talent there, but it seems far to often he chooses not to use it.

A few things could play a part in Nate putting on his best performance in recent memory. It very well could have been the brutal TKO loss he suffered against Josh Thomson just seven months ago. If that doesn't wake you up I'm not sure what will. I also have the Anderson Silva theory, let me explain...

The Spider lost his belt by being a dumbass in the octagon. He lost at UFC 162, which was held on July 6, 2013. Nate's last fight was his loss mentioned above. It was a UFC on FOX event that was held on April 20, 2013. The truth is nobody likes getting KO'd, and it only makes things worse if you're being an asshole seconds before you go to sleep. For an example click here. With Nate not having a fight until months after Silva got caught, it makes me wonder if Diaz actually learned something. Worry less about taunting and talking shit, and let your judo throws and hands fly.

I'm excited to see Nate's next fight, and can only hope he did learn something. Between his last loss, and seeing Silva lose he had to have... Right? All I really know is Nate went in there and let his skills do the talking. Hell he did it fast enough that I'm pretty sure he could have made it to his high school reunion.

Trust me Nate, this and this prove so much more than this. If you can continue trying to win fights with your skills instead of your mouth, then you will have a fan for life.
