UFC Fight Night 35: Rockhold vs. Philippou fight card

USA TODAY Sports

Check out the fight lineup for the January 15th UFC Fight Night on Fox Sports 1, which features Luke Rockhold and Costa Philippou in the main event.

This weekend obviously has the big Middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva, and a couple of weeks later we'll have another important divisional clash as part of UFC Fight Night 35 in Duluth, Georgia. Ex-Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold is healthy again and looking for his first UFC win as he faces Constantinos Philippou in a five-round main event. They're both coming off losses and are ranked in the lower end of the top 10, so neither man can really afford a 2nd straight defeat if they have immediate title shot aspirations.

In the co-main event is MW prospect Brad Tavares against Lorenz Larkin in what should be a great match-up. Cole Miller meets Sam Sicilia in the featherweight division while T.J. Dillashaw and Mike Easton square off in the bantamweight division.

While not confirmed, I believe this show will be used as a lead-in for the season premiere of TUF: Nations (Canada vs. Australia), so you'll have MMA programming through the night come mid-January.

Here's what the current lineup looks like, with no main/preliminary card split confirmed beyond the top two fights:

Luke Rockhold vs. Constantinos Philippou
Brad Tavares vs. Lorenz Larkin
Cole Miller vs. Sam Sicilia
T.J Dillashaw vs. Mike Easton
Yoel Romero vs. Derek Brunson
Ramsey Nijem vs. Justin Edwards
John Moraga vs. Dustin Ortiz
Jason High vs. Baneil Dariush
Alp Ozkilic vs. Louis Smolka
Vinc Pichel vs. Garrett Whiteley
Isaac Vallie-Flagg vs. Elias Silverio
Trevor Smith vs. Brian Houston
