Back in July at UFC 162, then Middleweight challenger Chris Weidman shocked the world. After winning the first round in his title fight against Anderson Silva, he knocked out the dancing king with a well-placed left hook to end the fight at just 1:18 of the second round. For the first time in almost seven years, Anderson left the Octagon without the gold wrapped around his waist after a 185 lb. fight.
Following the crowning of Weidman as the new champion, the UFC announced an immediate rematch between him and Silva. That fight will take place on the main event of UFC 168. The 185 lb. title won't be the only strap on the line on December 28. In the co-main event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV women's Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will take on challenger Miesha Tate in a rematch of their March 2012 Strikeforce fight. In their first clash, Rousey took the Strikeforce belt with a first round armbar.
