See what happened in the opening fights of UFC on Fox 9 out of Sacramento, CA.

UFC on Fox 9 opened up with a Flyweight fight on the Facebook like stream, then headed to FS1 for two Lightweight bouts. The action started slow with Alpetkin Ozkilic taking a split decision over Darren Uyenoyama, but picked up with a one-sided beatdown for Roger Bowlin courtesy of Abel Trujillo. Sam Stout dominated Cody McKenzie for a unanimous decision win. Take a look at how it all went down.

Sam Stout vs. Cody McKenzie

McKenzie knew what he had to do and attacked for the takedown right off the bat. He got it, but was only able to keep Stout down for a couple minutes before the escape. It took Stout a little while to work out the range, but late in the first he hurt McKenzie repeatedly with blows to the body. Stout dominated the second round. He denied all of McKenzie's takedown attempts and landed at will on the feet mixing body and head shots well. More of the same in the final round. McKenzie was gassed and had absolutely nothing for Stout standing or on the ground.

Abel Trujillo vs. Roger Bowling

Trujillo came out strong and looking better than Bowling in every aspect. His hands were faster early and he landed at will even rocking Bowling mid-way through the first. He punished the body with devastating knees in the clinch and on the ground while Roger struggled to get off any meaningful offense. Trujillo stacked Bowling in guard and unleashed brutal ground and pound. He cut up Roger's face with his punches, kneed him in the chest, then unleashed more blows before referee John McCarthy stopped the fight.

Darren Uyenoyama vs. Alptekin Ozkilic

Uyenoyama took control early on in the first round. He pressured to get the takedown from the opening bell. After scoring the first takedown of the fight, he was tripped and forced to work from his back for the rest of the round. Ozkilic was ready for the wrestling in round 2. He denied all of Darren's attempts then outscored him on the feet. Alp completely took over in the final round. He shook Uyenoyama repeatedly with punches, threw him around in the clinch, and avoided any sub threats on the ground.

Alpetkin Ozkilic defeated Darren Uyenoyama by unanimous decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28)
