Next up on the UFC Fight Night 32 main was a Welterweight bout between Paulo Thiago (15-5) and Brandon Thatch (10-1). Thatch continued with the momentum he gained after his UFC debut. He put Thiago down with a brutal knee to the body that forced the Brazillian to tap to strikes. Thiago dropped to 2-5 in his last 7 with the loss.
Thatch came out early pressuring Thiago. Thiago defended well right off the bat, shaking off clinch attempts and trying to avoid rangy strikes. Paulos scored a takedown but wasn't able to hold down the Colorado native. Thiago worked in the clinch, but that was able to get away. He jumped in with a devastating knee to the body that immediately dropped Thiago. Thatch follower-up with obligatory ground and pound as Paulo tapped to the strikes and referee Dan Miragliottastopped the fight.
