UFC Fight Night 32 results: Ryan LaFlare takes UD, Jeremy Stephens with a violent KO

The opening fights of the Fight Night 32 main card brought a lot of action. Check out how LaFlare remained undefeated and Stephens scored a big KO in his second Featherweight fight.

The main card of UFC Fight Night 32 started on FS1 with Lightweight and Welterweight bouts. In the opener, Jeremy Stephens landed a big head kick to score a devastating KO over Rony Jason. Ryan LaFlare and Santiago Ponzinibbio went the distance, but not for a lack of effort. LaFlare earned the unanimous decision win, but the one-sided scorecards belie Ponzinibbio's competitiveness throughout the fight.

Ryan LaFlare (8-0) vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio (18-1)

LaFlare made an impression early in his Welterweight bout. he scored a takedown early and mounted Ponzinibbio quickly looking like he might dominate from there easily. But, he lost position and and failed at an armbar attempt. The second round was much more even. LaFlare had a lot of volume early, but was overwhelmed and literally fleeing from Ponzinibbio halfway through. LaFlare was able to recover and score a takedown before they finished the round swinging on the feet. Ponzinibbio ate a big kick in the third and it looked like LaFlare could finish, but he didn't have enough in the gas tank. Ponzinibbio caught him with a big shot but was swept and LaFlare finished the fight on top.

Rony Jason (13-3) vs. Jeremy Stephens (21-9)

Stephens' second Featherweight bout was over quickly. He and Jason threw simultaneous strikes. A big right hook from Jason led to him leaning directly into a right head kick from Stephens. The kick put Jason out and he collapsed on the mat. Stephens was able to get off a violent follow-up right hand before the referee Kevin McDonald could stop the fight.
