The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale rolled along with the first two bouts on Fox Sports 1, and they both went to decisions. In the first, Sean Spencer battered Drew Dober but couldn't break him, and in the second saw Jared Rosholt pick up a win over Walter Harris. Both of the decisions were unanimous.
Spencer's striking was on point for all 15 minutes and he was much bigger and faster than Dober, a natural lightweight that took the bout on short notice. He managed to stay in the fight and was still active with his own striking to the very end, but Spencer bloodied his face up and had him hurt at the end. All three judges had it 30-27 for Spencer, who moved to 2-1 in the UFC with the win.
Rosholt and Harris were both making their UFC debuts and it was Harris that was on point early. He dropped Rosholt twice in the first round with powerful striking and clearly took that round. The second round was contested on the feet as well, but Harris had slowed down and Rosholt was able to land more strikes. Harris did land the hardest shot of the round though, so it was tough to score. Rosholt finally brought out his vaunted wrestling in the third and held Harris down for the rest of the fight.
All three judges gave it to Rosholt with 29-28 scores.
