Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale: Maynard vs Diaz - Live results and play-by-play for main card

Live results for the main card of the TUF 18 Finale. The card is main evented by a rematch between Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard.

The UFC will conclude the eighteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter tonight with the TUF 18 Finale. The event gets underway with one fight on Facebook at 7:30 p.m. Four prelim fights take place at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1 before the five fight main card gets going at 10 p.m. also on Fox Sports 1.

This post will cover the fights that take place on the main card.

The night's main event is a lightweight bout between Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard. The two fought once previously with Maynard winning by split decision.

The first ever TUF women's bantamweight tournament final will take place on the card with a bout between Julianna Pena and Jessica Rakoczy. In the men's bantamweight tournament final, Chris Holdsworth meets David Grant.

Rounding out the card are two women's bantamweight fights as Jessamyn Duke takes on Peggy Morgan and Roxanne Modafferi faces Raquel Pennington.

Roxanne Modafferi vs. Raquel Pennington - Round 1 - Modafferi coming out and throwing some strikes, neither woman really landing much of note early on. Pennington lands a hard Right, Modafferi comes forward with a combination but she doesn't have a lot of snap on her strikes. Big right from Pennington late in the round. 10-9 Pennington.

Round 2 - Modafferi comes forward and pushes Pennington into the cage. She's looking for a trip but can't get it. Pennington with a hard right that made Modafferi seem to change her mind about keeping it standing any longer and she shoots in. Pennington stuffs it and lands a good elbow. Pennington is on top now on the ground and is landing nice shots while Modafferi tries to set up an armbar. She almost has it locked up but Pennington's arm is out. 10-9 Pennington.

Round 3 - Modafferi can't get the takedown and she lands a body kick. Modafferi ends up basically pulling guard and Pennington is on top and doing a little damage. They stand up and Pennington is locking up a guillotine standing and she's really trying to finish as they go to the ground. It's deep. Pennington can't finish before the round ends. 10-9 Pennington for the sweep on my card.

Official scorecards: 30-27, 30-27, 29-28. Raquel Pennington wins by unanimous decision.

Jessamyn Duke vs. Peggy Morgan - Round 1 - Duke with a front kick and a nice combination. Morgan tries to clinch up and Duke lands some nice knees before turning her against the cage and landing a few more good knees. Duke now trying to finish off an arm in guillotine. It looks deep but she isn't able to finish. Duke working a very high guard now and she's looking to land some elbows off her back with Morgan's head trapped. Duke is just blasting her off the back while also locking up a triangle. 10-9 Duke.

Round 2 - Duke with a leg kick and now a right hand. Morgan keeps coming forward but Duke is landing a lot of clean shots. The left hook and straight right have been there for Duke all night, organ is just eating a lot of punches. 10-9 Duke.

Round 3 - Duke looked for a headlock in one moment that allowed Morgan to end up taking the back and she is looking to finish with a choke. She can't, they stay on the ground for a bit before a really bizarre stand-up and Duke does a little work before the round ends. 10-9 Duke.

Official scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Jessamyn Duke wins by unanimous decision.

Chris Holdsworth vs. David Grant - Round 1 - Holdsworth coming forward while Grant circles and throws a few leg kicks. Holdsworth wings a wild punch and Grant avoids it. Holdsworth pushing him into the cage now. Grant gets off the cage and misses a few wild punches. They trade punches and then some knees in the clinch. Holdsworth looking for the takedown. Grant now is the one looking for the takedown but Holdsworth reverses and ends up on top now. Holdsworth misses with a home run punch but he probably takes the round 10-9.

Round 2-Holdsworth with a head kick and Grant almost takes him down after catching it but can't. Holdsworth with a takedown now and he's in side control right away. Holdsworth moves to the back and now he's looking to lock in the rear naked choke. He's got it locked and there's the tap. Chris Holdsworth wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 2.

Julianna Pena vs. Jessica Rakoczy - Round 1 - Pena with a takedown. They're quickly back up though. Pena with another takedown. Pena working to pass. Pena with a few punches and now a forearm. Pena with some flailing hammerfists and now a wild punch that allows her to pass to side control. Pena to mount now. She's opening up with a bunch of punches and this one is finally over. Julianna Pena wins by TKO (punches from mount), round 1.

Gray Maynard vs. Nate Diaz - Round 1 - Diaz with a good left hand. Maynard with a right hand, Diaz with a left. Maynard with a takedown, they get up and Diaz with a big throw but the're right back to the feet and Diaz lands a knee. Maynard is bleeding a little. Diaz hurts Maynard and now he's pouring it on with big shots. Maynard is trying to survive as Diaz pours on the punishment. Diaz is just blitzing him and Maynard is barely able to stand as the ref ends it. Nate Diaz wins by TKO (punches), round 1.
