Dana White says 'Djork' Rebney got 'a big plate of karma,' Rebney responds

UFC president Dana White took to Twitter to taunt Bellator boss Bjorn Rebney following Bellator 106.

No matter what your perspective, Bellator 106 had a lot to enjoy. There was another Fight of the Year from Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler, the second upset of Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal by Emanuel Newton and a quick KO win by Mike Richman to start off the night.

UFC President Dana White, of course, has his own unique perspective and he was quick to take to Twitter to share it:

White is presumably referring to the fact that Bellator's contentious relationship with new Lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez and the amount of money and TV time they have invested in King Mo. Or maybe he's mocking the very low turnout at the Long Beach Arena last night. Or it could be he's laughing about the complete failure of Bellator's planned pay-per-view featuring Tito Ortiz vs. Quinton Jackson that was killed due to an injury to Ortiz.

It's widely believed, albeit unconfirmed, that Alvarez' contract stipulated that should he beat Chandler in the rematch that he would have to give Chandler an immediate rematch before becoming a free agent. The UFC attempted to sign Alvarez last year but Bellator managed to keep him following the settlement of a lawsuit over the matching terms of their contract with Alvarez.

Regardless of what exactly White was japing about, Bjorn Rebney wasn't slow to respond:

"If karma is that we just put on the best mixed martial arts fight I've ever seen, that's karma I'll take big boatloads of," Rebney said to a small group of reporters following Saturday night's Bellator 106 event.

Of course, it may be that Rebney's in-cage reaction to the Lightweight title fight outcome says more than any quote ever could.
