In the second main card fight at UFC 167, Tyron Woodley knocked out Josh Koscheck.

Tyron Woodley and Josh Koscheck were very similar fighters, and that sometimes leads to a firefight on the feet. In their UFC 167 welterweight bout, that was definitely the case. Woodley dropped Koscheck three different times in the fight, punctuating it with a vicious knockout late in the first round. The finish came at 4:38 of the stanza.

Woodley scored with a big right and knee early in the first round that had Kos rocked. Kos clinched up against the cage for a while and landed a couple of knees, but the ref separated them. Kos rocked Woodley right back and he had him backing up. Then right back, Woodley dropped Koscheck and landed some huge shots on the ground. Somehow Kos survived though. It really looked like he was out.

Kos locked Woodley down for a while until the ref stood them up. After a big kick, Woodley clubbed him again with a huge right that had Kos out on his feet. One more huge shot sent him to the ground and ended the fight.

Woodley moved to 2-1 in the UFC with the knockout, while Koscheck has dropped three in a row.
