In the third UFC 167 bout, Jason High picked up a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Lapsley.

Jason High came to fight and he certainly started well in his UFC 167 welterweight bout with Anthony Laspley. He dominated the first round and almost finished the fight multiple times with guillotines, but Lapsley rebounded in the second to control the round from top position. It all came down to the final stanza, and High shined once again. He took it to Lapsley with more grappling to take the victory. All three judges had it 29-28.

Lapsley scored with a right immediately but was taken down. High took about 30 seconds before he moved to mount, then rolled over with full back control. They stalled there for a while before Lapsley got up, but went right back down. High went for a guillotine but gave it up to control position. High scored with a big suplex and sunk both hooks with back control once again. He rolled over to mount and to the back again. High gave it up to go for a guillotine, and rolled to mount with it. He couldn't get the finish though.

High went for a takedown again and ended up with a mounted guillotine. Lapsley slipped out but was still stuck underneath. He controlled for a while and went for another guillotine, but Lapsley finally defended and ended up on top. Other than a couple of elbows, Lapsley just controlled position for over half the round before trying to go for an armlock. There was nothing there, but he rode out the round in top position.

Lapsley scored with a right hook to begin the final round. High charges in with punches and gets a takedown. High used the cage to stack him up and advance to side control. High controlled against the cage and dropped for a guillotine once again. He gave it up but quickly locked up an omoplata. He was tied up against the cage though and Lapsley ended up on top for a few seconds. High quickly regained control, but Lapsley got  up and got his back. High rolled for a leglock. Lapsley had control after escaping, but slipped off and got dumped on his back. High controlled from there for the rest of the fight.
