ONE FC announces card for Nov. 15th Show: Warrior Spirit

One FC returns to Malaysia on November 15th with Warrior Spirit, featuring Nobutatsu Suzuki vs. Adam Shahir Kayoom and Bryan Rafiq vs. Leandro Ataides.

ONE FC is running a pretty busy schedule these days. With their last show on October 18th, they'll be returning to action less than a month later with a title bout to crown the first ever ONE FC Welterweight champion. The championship bout will feature Hybrid MMA fighter and Karateka Nobutatsu Suzuki against Phuket Top Team product and Muay Thai champion Adam Kayoom.

Suzuki enters the bout off a win over Phil Baroni in a fight that saw Baroni pick up a nasty ankle injury on his way to a TKO loss. He otherwise has a recent loss to Keita Nakamura at Vale Tudo Japan 2012, the first of his career. Suzuki was a ZST product before jumping to the bigger shows and this will be his second time in the ONE FC cage. He has great boxing from the outside and a wide range of snapping front kicks and knee entries, but he's susceptible to takedowns and has a tendency to get hit by powerful strikers willing to close the distance on him.

Across from him, Kayoom represents a bit more of a well rounded, fighter. He has a black belt in BJJ and actively competes in grappling competitions to go along with his Muay Thai base, but he's still a striker first and foremost. Much like Suzuki he has a penchant for kicking, however, his arsenal is pretty much pure Muay Thai with teeps heavy leg kicks and head kicks. He has the ability to overextend and give up takedowns, another trait the two strikers share, but I don't think it will matter much as this will probably be all standup between them. Kayoom will enter the bout on a three fight win streak and with an overall record of 4-1.

Co-maining the event will be a bout between French submission grappler Bryan Rafiq, who is on a three fight win streak with an 8-2 record overall. He faces off against fellow submission artist Leandro Ataides. Ataides is an undefeated (5-0) second degree BJJ black belt formerly training out of Nova Uniao; he is currently an instructor at Spider MMA in Jakarta, Indonesia. It should make for an interesting pair of matchups at the top of the card as it will pit strength against strength between fighters relatively untested in MMA.

The event will be live on PPV on November 15th from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Here's a look at the full card:
