UFC Fight Night 29 results: Dong Hyun Kim knocks out Erick Silva

In a back-and-forth welterweight affair, Dong Hyun Kim managed to have the last laugh when he knocked out Erick Silva in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 29.

The UFC Fight Night 29 main card had been a tad underwhelming going into the co-main event, but Dong Hyun Kim definitely left fans with a memorable moment. After a frenetic second round that saw both men connect with big shots, Kim slipped an Erick Silva shot and landed a devastating left hand straight to the face that knocked him clean out. The finish came at 3:01 of round two.

Kim was relentless early in round one, looking to clinch and get a takedown. Silva fought him off though and circled away. Silva scored with some knees in the clinch and clubbed Kim with a right. Kim was missing badly with some strikes, but did manage to push Silva down. He rolled through and took the back, then into mount. Kim moved him over against the cage and took h is time coming up with a gameplan. Kim stepped out and Silva attacked a leg, but Stun Gun maintained position.

Kim attacked right away in round two again, but eats a combination that backs him up, then a knee that staggers him. He knocked Kim down, but the Korean caught him charging in and smothered him against the cage. Silva missed with a home run swing. Both men slowed down, but Kim continued to come forward while Silva unloaded with big single punches and knees. Out of nowhere, Kim connected with a huge right that knocked Silva straight out. He just slipped a Silva shot and straight put him out. Unbelievable finish.
