My opponent just pulled out...

So, since I posted something earlier in the week about me having my fifth amateur kickboxing fight this weekend, I figured I might as well give everyone the bad news. The title pretty much says it all. I was doing some of my final sparring before the fight on Sunday, I'm getting ready to do another round when my coach looks at me and says: "Chris, I got some bad news, your opponent pulled out." I seriously thought he was joking. My coach has a sarcastic sense of humor, but after a minute or two, I realized he was being honest. No word yet on why he pulled out last minute like this. My mind instantly jumps to the thought of him being scared. No one from my gym has ever lost to someone from their gym, I've defeated someone from their gym before. He's an undefeated fighter (with only three fights), I'm sure he wants to keep his undefeated streak going. I'm sure he wants to redeem his gym against mine. I'm sure he wants to avenge his friends loss against me. Maybe he caved under the pressure. Or, I don't know, maybe he legitimately got hurt during his final sparring session. I don't think I could ever find the words to describe how terrible it feels to have something that you've dumped your heart and soul into ripped away. And there's nothing I can do...

Lets not mutherfukers... I geuss...
