UFC 166 results: Gabriel Gonzaga knocks out Shawn Jordan in round 1

Esther Lin MMA Fighting

Gonzaga delivered his second consecutive first-round knockout in his fourth fight of 2013, while Jordan lost for only the second time since coming to the UFC.

Former Heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga faced off against Shawn Jordan at UFC 166. The big men did exactly what the crowd wanted in delivering a short, exciting fight with a violent finish.

Jordan looked to pressure Gonzaga and land the big punch, but it backfired. Jordan moved in with a jab and followed up with a left hook. As the hook missed, Gozaga countered with a brutal right hand that landed right on the button. Napao followed Jordan to the mat and put him to sleep with hammerfists.

Gabriel Gonzaga knocked  out Shawn Jordan at 1:33 of round 1.
