Heavyweights dominate the UFC 164 payroll

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Even though Pettis achieved the highest honors of the night, his disclosed compensation paled in comparison to the few big men on the card. Take a look at the reported salaries from August's UFC event.

Anthony Pettis stole the show at UFC 164 when he took the Lightweight title from reigning champ Ben Henderson with a first round armbar. Despite Pettis reaching the peak of his division, it was the Heavyweights that dominated the payroll. The two main card heavyweight fights won almost 50% of the $1M+ disclosed pay for the event.
