Scott Olmos-US PRESSWIRE
The betting lines are out for the Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine main card, and you know there's an issue when Nate Marquardt vs. Tarec Saffiedine is the closest fight betting-wise. Both heavyweights feature hilarious lines (as expected) and it appears that Mike Kyle and Ed Herman aren't being given much of a shot at winning either. Here's a look at the current lines, most of which dropped last night:
Strikeforce has long been known for having semi-blowout fights on their main cards, but the final event takes the cake. The Daniel Cormier and Josh Barnett lines aren't even worth mentioning. Honestly, the only guys I'd even consider betting on here are Nate Marquardt (he seems a bit undervalued right now) and possibly Ed Herman. And even Herman is a stretch. His aggressiveness plays into what Jacare Souza does well and Herman's probably going to get submitted.
Anyway, if you feel like taking a flier on a main card bet here, go after Marqardt all the way to -300 or so. Otherwise, wait for the undercard and hope you can get a good price on K.J. Noons. Everything else there will probably be insane as well though.
UPDATE - Some of the undercard odds are up now., as you can see. Nothing too great though.
