More Strikeforce roster migration confirmation, as Isaac Vallie-Flagg jumps ship to the UFC to fight Yves Edwards at UFC 156 in Las Vegas.
Strikeforce is closing its doors later this week, and many of its fighters are UFC-bound. Isaac Vallie-Flagg is one of them, and the UFC's twitter account confirms he will have a tough debut against veteran Yves Edwards at UFC 156 this February.

"Thugjitsu" ended 2012 with a bang, by knocking Jeremy Stephens out cold at UFC on FOX 5 in Seattle this past December. He's won 5 of his last 7 and at 36-years-old has proven he can still compete at a serviceable level. Edwards did have one fight in Strikeforce (pre-Zuffa obviously), a decision loss to Duane Ludwig.
A member of Greg Jackson's camp, Vallie-Flagg is unbeaten since 2007 with two fights under the Strikeforce banner. He recorded two split decision wins in SF, most recently against Gesias Cavalcante in May. This marks his 2nd fight at lightweight following a career at welterweight.
UFC 156 will be held in Las Vegas on Super Bowl weekend (February 2nd) with Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar as the main event. Edwards vs. Vallie-Flagg will be on the preliminary card.
