Another featherweight bout has been added to the UFC 156 card on February 2nd in Vegas. Robert Peralta will face off with Akira Corassani in a battle of 145ers that are currently undefeated in the UFC. Swedish MMA site MMAnytt.se broke news on the fight over the weekend.
Peralta (16-3, 1 NC) has picked up wins in two of his three UFC fights, with one overturned to a no contest after an accidental headbutt. His last bout, a 23-second knockout of Jason Young at UFC on Fuel 5, was undoubtedly his best performance to date. Corassani (10-3, 1 NC) was a TUF 14 contestant who picked up a split decision win over Andy Ogle in his only official UFC bout to date.
The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card. UFC 156 will be headlined by a UFC featherweight title fight between champion Jose Aldo and former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar.
