Joe Camporeale-US PRESSWIRE
A welterweight fight between New Jersey's own Nick Catone and James Head has been scheduled for UFC 159 in Newark, NJ on April 27th.
The UFC's only PPV in April is now rapidly filling up with fights. With the main card seemingly filled out, a preliminary card matchup between New Jersey native Nick Catone and James Head has also been added. Via MMA Junkie:
The lineup for April's UFC 159 event is quickly filling, and a welterweight matchup between Nick Catone (9-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) and James Head (9-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) is the latest addition to the lineup.
This is Catone's 2nd fight at welterweight following a December submission loss to T.J. Waldburger. His last middleweight fight was TKO (doctor stoppage) loss to Chris Camozzi in Atlantic City. Catone is probably facing the proverbial pink slip if he loses his 3rd consecutive fight.
Head fought on that same December TUF Finale against Mike Pyle, where he was knocked out with a knee and follow-up punches on the ground. That snapped his two-fight winning streak, which included an upset win over Brian Ebersole on the wall-to-wall entertainment that was the UFC 149 main card.
