Bader recovered from his KO loss to Lyoto Machida in impressive fashion.
Light Heavyweights Ryan Bader and Vladimir Matyushenko squared off for the third fight of the FX prelims of UFC On Fox 6. Both men entered the Octagon coming off a loss in their last fight. Bader was knocked out by former champ Lyoto Machida at UFC On Fox 4. Matyushenko was also knocked out in his last bout by up-and-comer Alexander Gustafsson.
After a very brief feeling out period, Bader landed with a big lunging left hook that dropped Matyushenko. Ryan followed him to the mat and locked up a guillotine choke. It didn't look like he'd be able to finish initially, but he repositioned to gain more control of Vladimir's body to get the tap. Ryan Bader submitted Vladimir Matyushenko at (0:50) of the first round.
