Long live the mullet. The Tennessee Waterfall was in full effect at the recent World MMA Awards as Cagednsider.com caught up with UFC welterweight Mike Pyle during the red carpet event. 2012 has been "Quicksands" year as he demolished three welterweights with first round knockout, finishes. Think Pyle was surprised by his outstanding year?
"I'm not surprised at all," said Pyle. "I've put the work in. I've worked my butt off. I've done all the necessary things to put me in the place I'm in now. I'm grateful for being here, but not surprised."
Despite success, it doesn't mean that Pyle did not continually look to progress. Always looking to innovate, he has found a new home in Syndicate Mixed Martial Arts.
"Syndicate is home. I'm there [Xtreme Couture] with the love and the friendship that I've developed there with all the guys. That will never change. The doors are always open to me. I just wanted a change. It's the same thing everyday, same thing in and out."
