I always love the lighthearted side of MMA, and we've all had our share of funny stories seeing shows be it live or on TV. Be it the affliction wearing douchebags who don't understand the sport but provide for endless entertainment or the stuff that has happened to us personally, the sport knows how to evoke emotions. I figured why not start a post and see some of everybody's stories about it. I'll start with one that happened to me, and if this gains any traction I'll add more;

When UFC 140 happened, it was right before my finals week. Therefore, instead of watching the fights at a bar like I normally would, I spent my night confined to the library. Now, I almost never do this, but I decided to stream the fights on my computer, because there was no way I wanted to miss the Jones/Machida match-up live. I was sharing my time between watching the card and studying for my finals, when the Mir/Big Nog matchup came up. Now, I get pretty emotionally invested during fights, and with that I get vocal sometimes. I had my headphones in because I didn't want to disturb anyone else, as the library was absolutely packed at this time. When the fight happened, I was trying my best to contain my excitement throughout, but as soon as Mir snapped Nogueira's arm, I jumped out of my seat and screamed OH FUCK! at the top of my lungs. 30 seconds later, I realized what I had done, and everyone in the library was giving me the death stare. Watching the submission combined with the fact that my headphones were in, made me unaware of how loud it really was. Needless to say, I was embarrassed, but it was worth it just to watch that submission. I made sure to keep my hands over my mouth during the Jones/Machida fight, and I moved floors as soon as it was over. As embarrassed as I was at the time, it is still extremely funny in hindsight.
