How could I become a manager or promoter?

Stay connected for news and updates

Okay so my buddy who was a Division II wrestler is having his first fight on February 23rd, and I am helping him out with the promotion and ticket sales stuff etc. I really like this aspect of Mixed Martial Arts and am currently a MBA student. As many of you know I wrestled in high school and on the JUCO level, and I now do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Renzo Gracie Black Belt Warren Stout and am still very interested in fighting as well. However, I am wondering if anyone on BE could point me in the direction I would need to go to get involved in either promotion or management or both as a few fighter managers do. Honestly I have learned in the last year that I probably do not have the physical gifts necessary to make it as a high level fighter, but I would love to help other people make that dream a reality. If anyone knows who to talk to or what resources are out there that would be awesome. Honestly, while I joke around on the comments section that I will take Dana White's job some day, it would be really amazing if I could get the opportunity to get into that line of work.
