Dave Jansen vs. Marcin Held Bellator Lightweight tournament final set for March 7

Marcin Held looks to submit Rich Clementi at Bellator 81 - Bellator.com

Bellator has rescheduled the season 7 Lightweight tournament final. Dave Jansen and Marcin Held will finally meet on March 7, like on Spike.

Bellator has confirmed the date for their rescheduled season 7 Lightweight final. On March 7, the Dave Jansen vs. Marcin Held final will take place in Temecula, CA at Bellator 92 live on Spike TV. The winner will earn a Lightweight title shot against champion Michael Chandler.

Jansen vs. Held was originally scheduled for the season 7 finale, however it was cancelled at the last minute when the Indiana Gaming Commission refused Held entry into the casino. Held was 20 years old at the time, though has since turned 21.

A submission specialist, Marcin Held (15-2) came to the finals with some beautiful submission wins, including a toe hold win over Rich Clementi in the semi-finals. He and Chandler have met before, with Chandler submitting Held in a 2011 Bellator fight.

Dave Jansen (19-2) is a six year veteran who is undefeated in Bellator. He favors a more grinding style, and made it to the finals with a close split decision win over Ricardo Tirloni.

No word yet on the rest of the March 7 fight card.

Bellator's next show is this Thursday, with Ben Askren vs. Karl Amoussou, the debut of King Mo, and the Welterweight tournament quarter-finals.
