Over the last week we've learned that Daley has run into trouble obtaining a visa, preventing him from fighting in Bellator. At first Bellator was reluctant to let him fight outside their umbrella, but now Daley says that he's squared away to fight in Feb

Last week, rumors surfaced that Bellator Welterweight Paul Daley was facing assault charges in Britain after being involved in a bar fight. While Daley immediately came out and denied that he had any legal troubles, he confirmed that he is having visa issues. With those issues keeping him from fighting in the US, Daley appealed to Bellator to be allowed to fight in the UK.

Although Daley followed up Monday saying Bellator was refusing to allow him to fight, he told MMA Weekly that he now has a fight scheduled:

I will be fighting in Ireland Feb. 23, I plan to fight every month up until my visa decision in late April.

We have approval from Bellator, we just need an opponent to be "ok’d"

Daley was signed by Bellator FC back in June and won his first fight by knockout in July. He was expected to fight War Machine in the upcoming Welterweight tournament for the promotion's debut season on Spike TV. Obviously, the problems with his visa prevented that, but he expects to be able to fight in the States again by April.

Tomorrow, BE's Steph Daniels will have more on the story in an interview with Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney.
