Tuesday after noon, Dana White underwent surgery to help prevent attacks caused by Meniere's disease. He came out of the procedure a few hours later with thanks and a video for his fans.
As we posted this morning, UFC president Dana White to treat Meniere's Disease. White has been suffering from the illness since 2011. Dana described the attacks caused by the disease as "pain like you can't imagine". The surgery required the complete removal and reattachment of White's left ear in order to insert a tube that allows fluid to drain properly. The outpatient procedure does not guarantee that White will not suffer attacks in the future.
Shortly after the surgery completed, White let fans know via Twitter that he was now headed to recovery:
It's over!!! In recovery now :) thanks all the supportyfrog.us/nb4yeghqwtstnc…

Along with the tweet Dana included a video of himself with his doctor:
Dana: It's over. They did it. Dr. Tooth did a fantastic job.
Doctor: This ear's an inch lower than the other, but otherwise it's a success.
Dana: Who cares? I was ugly anyway.
Obviously nothing is set yet, but it is possible for White to make the flight to Brazil for this weekend's UFC On FX 7 event.
