Kurt Holobaugh lost his Strikeforce debut to Pat Healy but he appears to be headed to the UFC's Featherweight division according to a tweet from his manager.
Kurt Holobaugh took a chance by accepting a very short notice fight against Strikeforce Lightweight contender Pat Healy at Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine. Holobaugh lost the fight but it appears that the decision was a career win as he is headed to the UFC according to his manager Lex McMahon:

Holobaugh tweeted a follow up that he is aiming for the UFC Featherweight division (in response to a tweet from MMA Sun:
@kurtholobaugh you think your next fight will be at 145 in the UFC?
— Jason Coles (@MMASun) January 13, 2013
@mmasun I really hope so. It will for sure be at 145 tho.

While all three judges gave Healy the win, Holobaugh impressed many fans and journalists with his striking, submission attempts and game attitude against the veteran Healy. He should be a welcome addition to the UFC's Featherweight division.
