Coming off a KO win over Palhares, Lombard has loudmouthed Brit Michael Bisping in his crosshairs now.
Middleweights Michael Bisping and Hector Lombard didn't exactly start out as fast friends after the former Bellator champion was signed to the UFC last summer. Shortly before Lombard's lackluster debut loss to Tim Boestch things turned sour when Bisping called him a "poison dwarf" and his competition "sub-par".
"He's the one who's talking like, I need a ladder to fight him and stuff like that," he continued. "Let's see if I really need a ladder."
Lombard counters with a personal anecdote, saying that at one time, he shook hands with Bisping, only to latch on to the smallest hand he'd ever felt.
"I squeezed it and I'm sure he was in pain," he said. "And after that, he started talking about how short I am. But one thing you can be 100 percent sure about it is that he's got the smallest hands ever, like a little girl's hands."
Lombard went on to say that not only does he guarantee a KO of Bisping, he doesn't care whether or not he wins his upcoming fight against Vitor Belfort. In his own words, "I don't really care for belts or titles. I just want to fight."
It would probably be best for Lombard to get this match if Bisping loses next week at UFC On FX 7. UFC president Dana White has said recently that Bisping is likely to get a shot at Anderson Silva's title if he's able to get the win over Belfort.
