Hello everyone!

This is a post that asks everyone one question....what the hell is up with Kickboxing in the U.S.? What organizations are there that aren't sport specific (Tae Kwon Do, Karate, etc)? I mean, it's a very exciting sport, and I know that it isn't even close to having the steam that MMA has behind it right now, but there's got to be something going on.

I'm asking because, not only do I like the sport of Kickboxing (though I really love MMA), I'm looking to participate in at least one match of each kind after I graduate college. I can find an amateur MMA organization to fight for, there's one based out of San Antonio that a couple of people I know have fought for, but I don't have any clue about kickboxing. It seems, at least to me, that it's pretty hidden and out of sight here in Texas.

Thoughts everybody? I'd like to hear something, hopefully constructive.
