K-1 Los Angeles
Today marks the return of K-1 to US soil, as the long standing kickboxing organization presents the K-1 Rising 2012 U.S. Grand Prix Championship in Los Angeles. The show will be available via live stream at Spike.com, though sadly, they've decided to charge $10 for the stream. Prelims (which will be streamed for free) begin at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, with the main card to follow at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
The card for this show is a bit of a mixed bag. Featuring 12 fights, the US show is heavily based around building up future K-1 talent. The end result is a sacrifice of big names or particularly intriguing match-ups. This is a card all about building for the future. How will that work out for K-1? That's what we will find out tonight. For more on the show, be sure to check out my in-depth preview.
