Ronda Rousey's next challenger might just be decided on November 3rd in Oklahoma City. Olympic silver medalist Sara McMann, who was signed by Strikeforce earlier this week, will meet former Strikeforce title challenger Liz Carmouche. MMA Fighting has it:
Sara McMann will make her Strikeforce debut on Nov. 3 against Liz Carmouche.
According to sources close to the event, McMann and Carmouche have agreed to meet on the Strikeforce: Cormier vs. Mir card, which will take place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, OK. Strikeforce is expected to announce the fight shortly.
McMann (6-0) has already competed for Titan FC, ProElite and Invicta in her short MMA career. There is a lot of allure in a McMann/Rousey bout due to the fact that they're both Olympic medalists, but McMann has to get through Carmouche (7-2) first. "Girl-Rilla" is on a two-fight winning streak, both of which came in Invicta.
Rousey has been linked to a bout with Cristiane Santos, but her suspension isn't up until December and she has said that she won't be coming to 135.
