Joey Beltran vs. Anthony Perosh added to UFC on FX 6

Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

A light heavyweight striker vs. grappler battle has been added to the December 15th card in Australia.

Australia is getting a classic striker vs. grappler fight on the Gold Coast. The TUF: Smashes Finale on December 15th will play host to a light heavyweight bout between Joey Beltran and Anthony Perosh. The news comes via the Daily Telegraph.

Beltran (14-8) made his return to the promotion at light heavyweight in July, but dropped a decision to James Te Huna at UFC on Fuel 4. He has just two wins in his last seven bouts. Perosh, a native Australian that will be fighting under the UFC banner for the fourth time in his home country, was brutally knocked out by Ryan Jimmo in just seven seconds in his last bout at UFC 149. That loss ended a three-fight winning streak.

The bout will take place on the preliminary card of the event. Here's a look at the confirmed bouts for UFC on FX 6:

Main Card:
Ross Pearson vs. George Sotiropoulos
Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares
TUF Smashes welterweight final
TUF Smashes lightweight final

Preliminary Card:
Joey Beltran vs. Anthony Perosh
Ednaldo Oliveira vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
