UFC Light Heavyweight Igor Pokrajac has philosophical objections to getting submitted by Vinny Magalhaes. Says the fans don't want to see things like that.
On the UFC 152 prelims, former M-1 Global Light Heavyweight Champion, Vinny Magalhaes made a successful return to the big leagues when he pulled off an impressive win over Igor Pokrajac. On the second round of their contest, Magalhaes was able to execute a slick armbar finish to snap Pokrajac's three-fight winning streak, and the Croatian striker seems to be a bit bitter about the loss.
He took to twitter and complained about it:
If I wanted to do a grappling match I would go on a grappling tournament , this is MMA and UFC fans want a fight # UFC 152— Igor Pokrajac UFC (@igorpokrajac) September 23, 2012
Well, that's statement is already silly since he's competing in MMA, and not kickboxing, but what makes it even worse, is that the submission came right after Igor himself decided to go to the ground by tripping a decorated BJJ expert. That takedown wasn't exactly a smart move, and this tweet won't make him look any better.
